Why FaithRestored exists
The Ethiopian Christian tradition has preserved a biblical canon that is broader than the canon familiar to many English-speaking readers. Yet access can still feel surprisingly difficult. Editions differ. Descriptions are often unclear about language, format, or contents. Online discussion can turn serious texts into a collection of mysteries and dramatic claims.
We believe the better response is not more noise. It is better access, clearer context, and room for the reader to think.
Source before speculation
That principle shapes the store. We want readers to encounter the books themselves, not only other people's conclusions about them. Our role is not to tell you what you must believe. It is to make relevant editions and companion materials easier to find and to describe each item as plainly as we can.

What “FaithRestored” means to us
The name does not mean that we can restore someone's faith for them, and it does not suggest that one purchase answers every theological question. Faith is personal, and different readers come here with different convictions.
For us, FaithRestored means restoring access to texts, context, and conversations that many readers did not know were available to them. Sometimes that deepens an existing belief. Sometimes it opens a new area of study. Sometimes it simply replaces a vague internet claim with something the reader can examine directly.
A wider tradition, approached with respect
Christian communities have not all used the same biblical canon. The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo tradition has its own history, language, worship, and understanding of scripture. It should not be reduced to a marketing gimmick or treated as a novelty version of a Western Bible.
We do not present Ethiopian Bible Shop as a church, denomination, academic institution, or official representative of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. We are an independent retailer serving readers who want a more direct way to explore this tradition in English.
