Payment Information

This page explains how payments work at Ethiopian Bible Shop. The store currency is United States dollars (USD). The payment methods actually available for an order are the methods shown during checkout.

Payment methods currently shown by the store

Depending on device, browser, eligibility, and payment-provider availability, checkout may display one or more of the following methods:

A payment icon in the footer indicates a supported integration but does not guarantee that the method will appear for every customer or order. Checkout makes the final availability decision.

When payment is made

Payment is submitted as part of checkout. Your order is not complete until checkout confirms the order. Depending on the method, the payment provider may authorize, reserve, or capture funds when the order is placed.

Currency

Store prices and checkout totals are shown in USD. If your card or payment account uses another currency, your payment provider may convert the amount and may charge its own conversion or account fee. Those provider fees are not collected by Ethiopian Bible Shop.

Taxes and total price

The checkout displays the product subtotal, any applicable discount actually applied, any taxes collected by the store, the free standard United States shipping rate, and the final order total before payment is submitted.

Payment security

Payments are processed through Shopify checkout and the selected payment provider. Ethiopian Bible Shop does not ask customers to send complete card details, card security codes, payment passwords, or online-banking credentials by email or contact form.

Payment declined or authorization failed

If payment is declined, verify the billing details, available funds, card restrictions, and any approval request from your bank or wallet provider. You may try another method offered at checkout. We cannot override a decline issued by a bank or payment provider.

Pending or duplicate-looking charges

A failed or interrupted attempt may create a temporary authorization that looks like a charge. The issuing bank normally releases an unused authorization according to its own schedule. If you received only one order confirmation but see more than one completed charge, contact us with the order number and non-sensitive transaction information.

Refunds

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. We process an approved refund within 5 business days after the return has been received, inspected, and approved. Your bank or payment provider may need additional time to post the credit. See the Return and Refund Policy.

Payment methods we do not accept outside checkout

Do not send cash, checks, bank transfers, cryptocurrency, gift cards from unrelated businesses, or direct payments requested by an unknown third party. We accept only the methods presented through the official checkout for the order.

Billing questions

For a billing question, provide your order number, the email address used at checkout, the date and amount, and the payment method category. Never send a full card number or security code.
